The foundations of cooperation and partnership between the Palm Farmers Cooperative Association in Jericho and the Palestinian Vision Foundation are based on a shared vision to enhance the date value chains and improve farmers’ income within a sustainable development approach. The partnership begins with setting clear objectives and agreed-upon performance indicators, managed through a transparent governance framework that includes a memorandum of understanding, clearly defined roles, and decision-making mechanisms involving farmers.

It also relies on resource and expertise integration, where farmers contribute field knowledge and implementation commitment, while the foundation provides institutional empowerment, capacity building, mobilization of funding, and national and international networking. Practical Implementation of the Principles

These principles are manifested in joint programs for needs assessment and capacity building in good agricultural practices, post-harvest management, quality and packaging, along with digital transformation for marketing and access to local and export markets.
