Introduction to the Association

The Jericho and Jordan Valley Date Palm Farmers Cooperative Association was established with the aim of supporting and developing the date palm farming sector in the region. We seek to empower farmers by providing services, training, and modern technology to increase productivity, improve the quality of Palestinian dates, and access global markets.

The Jericho and Jordan Valley Date Palm Farmers Cooperative Association was founded in 1999 by a pioneering group working in the date palm and date production sector, based on concepts that emphasize strengthening the presence of Palestinian farmers on their land and investing in the cultivation of Medjool dates (Majdool). By 2022, this sector had expanded to cover approximately 30,000 dunams in the Jericho and Jordan Valley area, which is considered one of the most suitable regions for producing this type of crop.

Our Mission

Empowering date palm farmers and enhancing their competitiveness through providing integrated and sustainable services.
1. Preparing the land and promoting a green environment.
2. Reducing the damage caused by environmental, local, and international degradation.
3. Employing a larger number of Palestinian farmers and focusing on the role of Palestinian women in production, work, and development.
4. Maintaining effective communication with all governmental and international organizations to promote the value of Palestinian Medjool dates, their quality, and their competitiveness in global markets.
5. Developing and advancing the date palm sector in all its health, nutritional, and technological aspects.
6. Supervising, guiding, and providing advisory services in agriculture and Palestinian date production.
7. Improving the quality of life of Palestinian farmers in all aspects and empowering them.
8. Strengthening the sense of belonging to the land and promoting sustainable environmental practices.

Our Vision

Leadership in the Palestinian date palm sector, achieving comprehensive and sustainable agricultural development. Establishing a distinguished and specialized agricultural sector in date palm cultivation and production in an organized, sustainable, and scalable manner, with the aim of producing high-quality dates suitable for international export and global competition, while promoting the nutritional and health value of date palms and dates.
